(hhmmm, still trying to type in Feb) This is a two shot say. The primary photo is the second one but the first adds to the "story". Not too hard getting the first shot but the second was a little trickier, especially with the wind blowing. Glad I had a point and shoot, I never would have gotten this shot with my DSLR.
But on the second photo. The minute I spotted this it brought back memories. I didn't own a bug but I remember them running around with the engine cover open at the top, perhaps to work as a spoiler in addition to letting air into the air cooled engine. You see, the engine were sooo powerful that you sometimes had to make this mod when you were driving "hard". (Rolls eyes)
